Acadia Homes For Sale
Although the land that comprises the Acadia area was not annexed to the city until 1956, it wasn't until four years later that the community was officially established in 1960. Bound to the north by Heritage Drive, to the south by Southland Drive, to the east by Bow River and to the west by Macleod Trail, the community of Acadia boasts a mixture of residential, recreational and commercial purposes. Thanks to the community's location, residents and those searching for real estate in Acadia; can easily locate the Downtown area via Southland Drive, Blackfoot Trail, Deerfoot Trail and Macleod Trail. At the same time, residents don't have far to go to access the recreational opportunities available in the Bow River Valley.
Closer to home, residents can take advantage of the variety of activities and events that take place in the community centre each year. Capable of holding up to 320 people within its main hall, the Acadia community centre features a commercial kitchen, a lounge, meeting rooms, a stage and a sound system. The community centre also maintains a variety of recreational facilities on behalf of the residents of Acadia. These include squash/racquetball courts and an indoor skating rink.
Elementary-aged children whose parents are interested in homes for sale in the Acadia community may attend the public schools of Acadia, David Thompson and Sam Livingston or the Catholic schools of Ecole St. Matthew and St. Cecelia.
